Vandals Strike Yet Again

From the beginning of May, there has been an increased amount of vandalism in the village of Trowse.

In addition to the thefts of bicycles, an increasing amount of needless vandalism has damaged the quality of life in the village.

This recent vandalism and crime includes:

* Scratching of virtually all the cars along Russell Terrace
* Smashing of cars side mirrors along the same row
* Smashing and removal of fencing and gates around the common
* Destruction of the gates at the top of the School Terrace
* Destruction of the lights and roofing of the bus shelter
* Uprooting and destruction of plants
* Verbal abuse from youth
* Attempted thefts from the festival tents during the night

On Friday night, most of people's cars along the front of School Terrace were vandalised. A week prior, a car similar to a old VW golf passed along the terrace slowly, and the occupants were leaning out of their window smashing mirrors. On being confronted, they turned off their lights and sped up White Horse Lane towards Lakenham.

If you know anything about these crimes, please report any details to Norfolk Constabulary who have been notified of the offences.

We must all remain vigilant even though Trowse is very fortunate in having very low criminal activity.

If you can help with any information, contact Norfolk Constabulary on 0845 456 4567.
